Obaseki Mourns Passing Of Former Edo Rep Member, Ifaluyi Isibor

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has mourned the passing of former member representing Egor/Ikpoba Okha Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifaluyi Isibor, and father of the Edo State Honourable Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science and Technology, Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor.

In a statement, Obaseki described late Isibor as, “an accomplished geologist, a consummate politician, and a cerebral entrepreneur who achieved remarkable success in the various endeavours he pursued.”

He added: “A jovial, kind-hearted, and compassionate gentleman, he remained true to his commitment to excellence and dedication to societal development until his last days.

“As a lawmaker and Federal Commissioner, he was at the forefront of promoting the interests of his constituents and advocating for development, articulating their needs, and speaking truth to power when it mattered the most.

“He espoused integrity and hard work as life’s most cherished virtues and passed these noble ideals on to his children. His son, Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, is continuing in the tradition of excellence that the family is known for.

“Late Isibor will be remembered for his candour, commitment to community development, and an unwavering drive to effect change in society.

“I offer my deepest condolences to his son and Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science and Technology, Hon. Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, the Isibor family, friends, associates, and well-wishers, and pray that God will grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
