Why CGMI, Lagos Bishopric Is Holding A Convention, By Bishop Fianu
The Bishop of Lagos, Church of God Mission International (CGMI), Rt. Rev. Curtis Fianu says the church is holding the Lagos Bishopric Convention 2024 “because Jesus Christ has through his death on the cross, broken all barriers for our supernatural experience.”
In his welcome address at the convention with the theme, FOCUS ON CHRIST FOR SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE, Fianu said: “The convention is unique, holding in the year which our Archbishop has graciously declared as the year to FOCUS ON CHRIST FOR THE SUPERNATURAL. To the glory of God, I want to announce to us in Lagos that the spirit of the theme of this year has been speaking and working in our lives.”
“I am convinced that before the end of these four days convention, you will experience the supernatural hand of God in every aspect of your life,” he added.
Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee, Rev. Charles Osemwegie said: “A supernatural experience is one that transcends the ordinary, and it begins with the genuine transformation of our spirit as referenced in 2nd Corinthians 5:17. This year’s convention has been thoughtfully designed to equip us with the tools necessary to experience supernatural breakthroughs both in our lives and in our churches within the Lagos Bishopric.”
The convention is on-going at Kings Pavillion, Lagos Bishopric Headquarters, 10, Oludegun Avenue, Off International Airport Road, Lagos.
The Chief Host of the Programme, Archbishop of CGMI, Archbishop Margaret Benson Idahosa (JP, OON) was at the venue yesterday afternoon to pray for the church and the participants.
