There Is Hope Beyond The Present Life, Says Clergy

A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. George Chiedu has admonished Christians to live their lives with the consciousness and hope that there is an eternal life after earthly existence.
Delivering a sermon at the Funeral Service of Late Ezinne Catherine Mgbuafor Chiedu, at All Saints Catholic Church, Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State, Fr. Chiedu stressed the need for the living, to constantly access God in prayers.
He said prayer contact with God is like an airtime on a mobile phone, without which communication cannot be made, irrespective of that phone’s value, adding that there is no hope in life without prayers.
“It is your regular and committed prayers to God that helps sustain your hope that after the present life, there is life eternal,” he said.
Drawing his Bible text from the gospel of John 11:17-27, he advised that people live a life of hope, love and forgiveness as exemplified by the Late Ezinne Catherine Chiedu.
He extolled her virtues and commended Late Ezinne Catherine who died at the age of 94, that in her lifetime, she had addiction to prayers and lived a life of hope of the resurrection that John’s gospel talked about.
