The importance of a Christ-centred life in pursuit of society impact has been emphasized at the 2026 edition of the annual International Pastors’ Conference (IPC) of Church of God Mission International (CGMi) held from January 6th to 11, 2026 at Balm of Gilead City, Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.

The conference with the theme, Focus On Christ To Make Great Impact was opened with an address delivered by the Archbishop of CGMI, Most Rev. Margaret E. Benson-Idahosa (OON, JP).

In his keynote address, the Overseer of CGMI, Bishop Feb Idahosa said: “The theme reminds us that lasting and meaningful impact flows from a Christ-centred life and ministry. When our focus is right, our influence is right. When Christ remains at the centre, great impact remains inevitable.”

In his welcome address, the Director of Administration of CGMI, Rev. Tari Hudson Ekiyor said the theme of the conference brings pastors “back to the heart of our calling. Scripture reminds us in Hebrews 12:2 to ‘fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.’ True impact flows naturally when Christ remains our focus-not distractions, not pressure, not circumstances.”

Admitting that ministry’s demands are increasing due to economic realities and challenging times, Ekiyor encouraged pastors to remain focused on Christ for great impact on churches, communities and the nation.

The conference was quite spiritually refreshing and rewarding. Great impartation was received from speakers at the conference including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Founder and President of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) and Prof. Vincent Anigbogu, Founder, Institute for National Transformation (INT).

Impactful presentations were also made by several CGMI pastors and Bishops, including Bishop Curtis Fianu of Lagos Bishopric.
