Project Was Approved For Isoko Nation In Every Executive Meeting, Says Aniagwu

The Delta State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu says there has hardly been any executive council meeting held under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration where a project was not approved for Isoko nation.
Reacting in a press conference to a recent protest by some Isoko people, Aniagwu said the Isoko nation is the only ethnic extraction in Delta State where the Governor has visited three times to commission a project since assumption of office.
He identified projects executed as the Ogonogo-Ifu access road costing N5 billion, a project that leads to oil facilities in Isoko South, Section A of the Ugheli-Asaba expressway and the Olomolu-Igbido road.
He said contracts for four strategic roads have been awarded, linking facilities in Isoko South, including Emevo Phase 1 while Emevo Phase2 has been commissioned.
“The people who went about protesting do not have a grip of the developmental strides in Isoko nation,” he said.
