Bishop Attah Of CGMI Awarded CIMCN Fellowship, Icon Of Mentorship, Leadership Excellence
The Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria (CIMCN), the leading African body of professional mentoring and coaching, has bestowed the Fellowship and the Award of Icon of Mentorship and Leadership Excellence upon Bishop Sunday Attah Omachefu, the Bishop of Church of God Mission International, Lagos West Bishopric.
The Director General of the institute, Dr. Rotimi Mathew presented the awards to Attah on March 24, 2024 in Lagos on behalf CIMCN Governing Council. In his address, Dr. Mathew lauded Bishop Attah as a true example of leadership and mentorship, noting his impeccable character and his standing with God.
Testimonials from various individuals at the ceremony attested to Bishop Attah’s role as a beacon of inspiration and guidance. Mathew emphasized the significance of mentorship as a proven method for nurturing future transformative leaders, emphasizing that individuals with relevant experience can effectively guide mentees to unlock their full potential.
He equally highlighted the institute’s ongoing efforts to attain chartered status with the National Assembly, expressing optimism that with collective support, the bill would successfully be passed and receive presidential assent, having gone through second reading.
He urged the awardee to serve as a commendable representative of the institute and encouraged those interested in professional membership to apply through the institute’s available online and onsite platforms, stressing the importance of mentorship as an indispensable pathway to effective leadership and national development.
